Pixel controller Missing
#1
Hi,

Following halloween where everything was working I have been working on my Xmas display. All well and good and all working until yesterday.

I honestly do not know of anything i have done differently, but i came to do a final test today and my pixel controller is not recognised at all, even though it has worked fine up until now.

I set the controllers Ip to 192.168.1.200 and when i ping that i get

C:\Users\User>ping 192.168.1.200

Pinging 192.168.1.200 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.1.202: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 192.168.1.202: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 192.168.1.202: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 192.168.1.202: Destination host unreachable.

Ping statistics for 192.168.1.200:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),

on the controller i have the red flashing power light, the ethernet port has a static orange and a flashing green.

checking syncrolight device manager the controller has not shown up

Is there any way i can test everything to narrow down the fault here (e.g. connecting the ethernet direct - but what are the next steps?)

i tried changing the computer IP to 192.168.1.250 (subnet prefix 24, gateway 192.168.168.100 and dns of 8.8.8.8 and 4.2.2.1) but that made no difference

Any help on what diagnostics i need would be welcome. It is though it is not connected at all and the computer cannot find it.

Well I don't know what happened.
I had left it for a couple of days while my mind cooled down.
tried it again and it worked. No rhyme or reason, nothing changed. just worked.

so if anyone has the same issue. i guess leaving it turned off for 2 days does the trick!!
