With the sl-4000, to get a signal from the computer, I will connect an Ethernet cable to an Ethernet hub and connect the internet with an Ethernet cable and then connect the Ethernet hub to the sl4000. Wow, that’s a mouthful.

Yes both the computer and SL-4000 need connecting to an ethernet hub (or your normal broadband/Internet router). You will need to change your computers IP address to get connected to the SL-4000 initially (see recent thread on the forum about this). You will also need to upgrade to a professional licence, we can send you a voucher code for this so you only pay the upgrade cost.
